Commercial Cat Food Is Not Healthy

Proteins are nutritious

Different proteins digest differently. Cheap forms of protein have just about zero nutrition for your cat. In many countries, there are no laws about the quality of commercial pet foods. This means anything can, and usually does, go into them. Pet food companies very often get their "meat" supplies from countries that have no laws for pet foods.

Antioxidants and Preservatives

Pet "meat" imported into the Usa from China in 2007, contained melamine which caused thousands of deaths in all sorts of pets. But, it is still used. Melamine is used to bulk out food and is a non-nutritional filler. Several pet foods labeled "chemical free" or "all natural ingredients" have synthetic antioxidants. One of the worst and most toxic preservatives used in pet food is ethozyquin. This preservative is not allowed in human food, but it is permitted in pet food.

Urgent Info for All Cat Owners

If you are feeding your cat a commercial cat food, you most likely are contributing to her short life. If you have had cats in the past, you might have noticed that they aren't living as long as they used to. It wasn't uncommon for cats to live up to 20 years in the past. These days it seems that they are lucky if they reach 8 years or even less before getting some kind of disease. If you are feeding them a popular name brand cat food, you might notice that they don't seem to be to be as healthy as your previous cats. Actually, you may be slowly poisoning your beloved pet and don't know it.

Pet food companies spend millions of dollars a year on advertisements just to get you to buy their pet food, {which has the lowest quality and most poisonous ingredients possible} just to raise their profits.

What meats, if any, are typically used in pet food? Processed pet food often comes from animals who are dead, dying or diseased. Some of it is cancerous, along with other ingredients that are not even fit for human consumption, which makes it a very low grade of food. About 30% of commercial pet food is meat, usually by-products. This can be anything from waste meat from processing plants, fat, diseased carcasses, to intestines, hair and hooves. Different proteins digest differently. Cheap forms of protein have just about zero nutrition for your cat.

Cats make great pets

Welcome to my blog about cats making great pets. I usually acquire cats when they are kittens, so I can train them and they can get to know me. I have raised kittens to become cats for all my life and it is very rewarding.
